Very cute! I have to look to see if I have a paper bag (bags were mostly banned in my state outside of some smaller stores) but as an alternative for those in states like mine maybe Amazon packaging? The paper isn't as thick but it would do...my husband gets a lot of Amazon stuff and the boxes usually have kraft paper in it! I also need to remember next time I am at Trader Joe's to get one of those magazines...the fonts in there are so fun and I didn't remember to grab one last time I was there! Thank you for sharing!

Super great Margaret!! I was asked if perhaps I could do some kids crafting classes but not being used to working with children, I am thinking about it and looking for possible projects. This looks like a great idea for both kids and adults! Possibly adult newbie junk journalists! Awesome! Also teaches collage and can be used for counting, colors, etc. in children’s projects! I'm really enjoying your postage stamp videos but prefer the ones without any music -just saying. I have always collected stamps but as my father was a stamp dealer I was taught to use mounts rather than glue. The idea of just glueing them in feels strange but as I have so many duplicates - why not! Also I love the way you deconstruct envelopes.

You didn't mention the elastic band method of binding. This type of binding allows you to take out every page if you want to. It is ideally, I guess, strung between the top and the bottom of the journal through eyelets. Papers are folded in half and inserted under the elastic band. I hope I'm explaining this well. Also, there is tab binding, which is also a non-sewing method of binding. That is more involved.

I like it, it's such a great project to do. It's a paper bag book and grid journaling together in one project. Luckily I bought two paper bags last we went to the big town. But we have no post office here in South Africa, so no new stamps, I think. The post office went bankrupt!!

That was a cute project! I don't know if I have the patience to create the little booklet. 😊 I haven't used my new postage stamps yet since I have a couple of stitching projects going. I haven't tried combining paper and stitchery but would like to try that.

I really enjoyed this. Both books are really nice. My grandkids have started doing collage and glue books so I think they would really like this way of creating their own books. Thank you for sharing.

I lost my fiance about two years ago I was an emotional wreck after a year. Still am, but i can control my emotions from time to time. Then heard about junk journaling. It was a life changer because I can keep focus on something other than my own emotions and it brings me calmness into my mind. 😅 I have ADHD also so big help on that. So hope to continue this journey of creativity and my next goal will be learning about paper quilling. Excited where that could lead my imagination.

I envy your ability to use stamps so flawlessly. Mine always turned out messy when I used them in the past, so I gave away my stamp supplies.
